PP Lamp (Portable and pure)

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Ephesians 5:8

I have been a Christian in name since age 15. But by the grace of God, His Spirit fell upon me at age 40, and the veil upon my heart was truly lifted up. While not in the same magnitude as that of Apostle Paul, whom God moved from determined persecutor of Christians, to a renowned defender of the Christian faith, defining moment, it was for me. It has been 13 wonderful years of journeying in the presence of our Lord. "I walked with Him," albeit tentatively. Then " Ran with Him," often in my haste, going off tandem, but He was always there to nudge me back. "Reflections for the moment," a respite I took as I learn to worship Him "In Spirit and Truth." And He gave me a refreshed heart, as I drew closer to Him in my time of need, for God speaks to us "Heart to heart." "Lightness of being," that was my last blog(#7), and I wasn't floating along in the new land He brought me to. Oppressed I was, but never depressed, for God always lifts me up and moves me forward.

But now, it is time to be what He has called us to be. To be the willing lamp, that fully allows the glory and power of His light to shine forth from us, in the world that is increasingly dark.
For darkness is the absence of Light.

God Blesses

Children of The Light #31 An undivided heart (14 Aug 2016)

Dear…

Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him.
     John 12:37

King Hezekiah was a king like no other. He seek after the Lord with his all and removed all the high places where idols were worshipped.
For the past 15 years of my life, since the Spirit of our Lord fell upon me, I have in all my imperfections, seek after our Lord. Yet I often struggle with letting go of my all in total surrender to our omnipresent God.

Like some of the kings of Judah past, I seek the Lord, yet I left the high places alone. For I often place them as important if not more important than pleasing the Lord our God.

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed;blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
      John 20:29

With the wonderful victory of Joseph Schooling at the Olympics, the accolades are overflowing and his parents and him deserve it for their perserverance in what was a long and lonely journey.

And it is not unexpected to have many who now jump onto this bandwagon of success, when till recently, they were never part of the picture.
And on a sidetrack, I shall go look for my sonś  ACS Junior yearbook, for it must be of some worth on ebay now that Joseph is up in the pedestal!!

What about Christ? Many adored him on Palm Sunday, laying palm fronds and their very clothes on the ground as Christ rode on the mule, down to Jerusalem. They have witnessed the miracles performed by our Lord.

Yet, just a few days later, the same adoring crowd were baying to crucify Him.

Are most of us not too dissimilar to these fickle Jews of old?
I have been blessed to experience the grace of God upon my life.
Yet, I often err and in my disobedience, I have pain our omnipresent Lord. I do not do what I should do, and often do what I should not do.

Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
         Isaiah 55:6

When will the day be when I am truly like Christ the perfect Son of God?
Rather than seek that state of perfection, which is only possible by the transforming power of our Lord, there is one thing that I can and must always do.
Which is to seek the Lord our God with my all and to be determined to submit to Him.

But these are written that you may believe[a] that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
       John 20:31
Michael Phelps went through a bad patch in his life in the years between the London Olympics and Rio. If the article in the net is to be believed, He found the Lord our God, and with it, the peace and joy that no number of Olympic medals could bring him. Like the promise of John 20:31, he believed and in doing so, he found a new wonderful life in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,  that I may fear your name.
Psalm 86:11

Like the symbolic 3 silver medalist on both side of the gold winning Joseph Schooling, is there a message our Lord has for all of us as a nation mightily blessed by Him, even before this Olympic triumph? That we who are blessed to have the veil lifted upon our hearts. That we must indeed give the Lord our God our undivided heart.
For to continue to do otherwise, will bring about great grief upon ourselves.
God Blesses
